Leopold Library IDPwD Storytime Takeover

Come along to Leopold Library to recognise IDPwD. Pre-school aged children are invited to join in with actions, sing along, and read together with a parent or carer.

The IDPwD Storytime Takeover will include reading books depicting different disabilities, songs incorporating Auslan key word signs and activities, to promote awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

Preschool story time is an interactive session with multiple stories, songs and movement. Each session will include literacy activities such as singing the alphabet song and learning the ‘letter of the week’. The program is facilitated by a library staff member.

At Leopold Library the group size can vary between 2 and 10 children, depending on who turns up on the day. The content is designed for children aged 3-5 but all preschool ages are welcome.

Bookings are not required – you are welcome to drop in on the day! Children must be supervised by a responsible person (adult or carer) in our libraries and our programs.

If you have any questions, please contact Leopold Library.
