'Listen to us' art exhibition

Join Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion and explore the art exhibition 'Listen to Us', inspired by stories from the Disability Royal Commission.

The Disability Royal Commission (DRC) heard from nearly 8000 people with disability, their families, supporters and advocates. Their experiences painted a picture of a more inclusive and equitable Australia and set out a roadmap for change.

Now, Queensland Advocacy for Inclusion are working together to ensure those voices continue to be heard and that the DRC's recommendations lead to meaningful action.

'Listen to Us' brings together Queensland artists whose new artworks explore the themes that matter most to people with disability. Through painting, photography, mixed media and other artistic forms, these artworks reflect personal experiences, hopes and calls for change.

Each artwork invites us to stop, look, listen and remember what the DRC uncovered.

Together, they remind us of the importance of continuing to work with people with disability to build a Queensland where everyone can participate, contribute and belong.

The event is free but registration is required.
